A Substance Abuse Counselor counsels people struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs or other substances. Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

Pay rates from $20/hr. depending on years of experience! Centurion Health is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Tennessee Department of Correction . We are currently seeking a full-time Non-Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Northeast Correctional Complex located in Mountain City, Tennessee. The Non-Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor is responsible for coordinating all substance abuse/addiction program activities in a correctional setting. This includes providing intake, assessment, treatment planning, and group and individual counseling. Experience in Substance Abuse Counseling preferred Experience in a correctional environment preferred Ability to pass and maintain a security background clearance

Available Shift:
