Job Description

Job Title:
Substance Abuse Counselor Job Purpose:
Arise Recovery Centers is seeking a licensed master's therapist to join our team as a Substance Abuse Counselor. This position is responsible for providing drug and alcohol assessments and treatment to adult clients who are struggling with substance use. The Substance Abuse Counselor will provide individual, group, and family counseling, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and maintain client charts and documentation. Additionally, this position will evaluate clients for admission to outpatient treatment and report on their progress to referral sources.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual, group, and family counseling to clients who are struggling with substance use. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client. Evaluate clients for admission to outpatient treatment and report on their progress to referral sources. Maintain client charts and documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills. Provide follow-up services to clients as needed. Attend and participate in team meetings and case conferences.
Key Requirements:
Must have a master's license in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy. Must have at least one year of experience treating substance use disorders. Must be able to run group sessions three days per week. Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have a strong commitment to client-centered care and a willingness to work collaboratively with clients and their families. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards. Must be willing to participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills.
