Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC/CSAC-S) Grace & Mercy Recovery is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and professional Certified Substance Abuse Counselor to join our growing outpatient behavioral health team. This position provides substance use treatment services to adults in a structured outpatient setting while working collaboratively with an experienced multidisciplinary team. We are primarily seeking a full-time counselor (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.); however, qualified part-time applicants are also encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include:

Conducting substance use assessments and client intakes Developing and updating individualized treatment plans Providing individual and group counseling Completing clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner Collaborating with the treatment team to coordinate client care Monitoring client progress and making appropriate treatment recommendations Maintaining compliance with all state, federal, Medicaid, and agency documentation requirements Participating in staff meetings, supervision, and training as required

Qualifications:

Current Virginia CSAC, CSAC-S, or CSAC Supervisee credential in good standing Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Experience providing substance use treatment is preferred Knowledge of ASAM Criteria and Virginia ARTS services is preferred
