The employee will provide recovery-oriented services as outlined by the Texas Administrative Code and in accordance with the Department of State Health Services Resiliency and Recovery Management principles. MH recovery services assist an individual in gaining and coordinating access to necessary care and services appropriate to the individual's needs. Specifically, a RACT Rehab Provider will provide community based services that include, but are not limited to, independent living services, coordination services, employment related services, medication related services, and crisis services. A RACT Rehab Provider works under the Direction of the RACT Lead and works as a member of a therapeutic team for a select adult caseload. The employee will implement the principles of trauma-informed care including culture sensitivity in all areas of service delivery.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE A
bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum number of hours that is equivalent to a major in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, physician assistant, gerontology, special education, education, educational psychology. One-year minimum experience in like or similar field preferred.
ESSENTIAL TASKS
Must be capable of using Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Strong organizational skills. A demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to clearly communicate sensitive information both orally and in writing. Demonstrate the ability to work closely with all levels of service providers in an atmosphere of teamwork. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to train, motivate, and supervise rehab staff in an effective manner.
REQUIREMENTS
Valid Texas Driver's License required and reliable transportation. Must have proof of current liability insurance. Must not have more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years. Must be insurable and remain insurable on Center's insurance. Must be able to pass a background check. Trained in DSHS approved evidenced based practices prior to the provision of services. This training includes SAMHSA Assertive Community Training, SAMHSA Illness Management and Recovery (IMR), and DSHS Co-Occurring Psychiatric and Substance Use Disorders (COPSD). Theses trainings are provided by the Center. SHIFT Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
