We are dedicated to providing a vibrant community space where members can enjoy recreational activities and develop lifelong skills. Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and compassionate After-School Counselor to join our team! In this dynamic role, you will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children after school hours. Your enthusiasm and leadership will inspire young minds through fun activities, educational support, and positive guidance, ensuring every child feels valued and motivated to learn and grow. Duties Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Facilitate a variety of youth programs including arts, outdoor activities, and educational games that promote development and teamwork. Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to foster a respectful environment. Provide first aid and respond to emergencies following established protocols, including CPR and AED operation when necessary. Support children with homework assistance, tutoring, or special education needs to encourage academic success. Collaborate with team members to plan age-appropriate activities that enhance youth development programs. Qualifications Experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings. Knowledge of classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques. Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols. Background in special education or childhood development is preferred. Demonstrated ability to supervise children safely in indoor and outdoor environments. Strong team leadership skills with the ability to engage children through teaching and facilitation of youth group activities. Previous experience in daycare, babysitting, theater, or similar roles is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude focused on nurturing growth and development.
