Join Door to Hope as a Youth Counselor and support adolescent females in a trauma-informed residential treatment setting. What You'll Do Provide daily supervision, support, and guidance to adolescent female residents in a structured treatment program. Assist in implementing individualized treatment and program activity plans. Support the delivery of individual, group, family, and supportive counseling services under the direction of clinical staff. Promote a trauma-informed, strength-based environment. Ensure residents' daily living, health, and safety needs are met. Help maintain a clean, safe, and supportive residential environment. Work collaboratively with the facility manager, clinical director, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members. What We're Looking For Applicants must meet one of the qualifications below prior to employment: Bachelor of Arts or Science degree (preferred), or Valid Child Development Teaching Permit, or Completion of 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, or Foster and Kinship Care Education and 100+ hours of experience working with youth, or Valid Alcohol/Drug Counselor certificate with 100+ hours of youth experience, or Vocational training certificate or journeyperson credential with 100+ hours of youth experience, or One year of prior employment or volunteer experience in a group home or Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP). Additional Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age. Must pass a Live Scan background check. Three to four years of experience in behavioral health counseling preferred for applicants without alcohol/drug counseling certification. Ideal Candidates Also Bring Experience working with adolescents in residential or behavioral health settings. Ability to model positive behavior and maintain healthy boundaries.
