Art of Change Counseling - Lafayette, Colorado Part-Time | W-2 | Starting at $25/hour Art of Change Counseling is seeking compassionate, dependable individuals to join our Supervised Parenting Time Program . This position is a good fit for upper-level undergraduate students, recent graduates, and professionals interested in working with children and families experiencing separation, divorce, high-conflict family situations, or other challenging family transitions. Final-year bachelor's students are encouraged to apply , particularly those studying psychology, social work, human services, child development, family studies, criminal justice, sociology, education, or a related field. This is not a therapist position . Facilitators provide a safe, neutral, and child-focused environment where parents and children can spend time together when parenting time is required to be professionally supervised.

Responsibilities include:

Supervising parenting time in our Lafayette office and, when appropriate, in community settings Maintaining continuous visual and auditory supervision during visits Remaining neutral and maintaining appropriate professional boundaries Supporting a safe, child-focused environment Following court orders, safety plans, and Art of Change policies Completing timely, factual, and objective visit documentation Documenting incidents or safety concerns when necessary Following established arrival, departure, and supervised-exchange procedures Communicating professionally with parents and other involved professionals Participating in required consultation and supervision Immediately reporting safety concerns and following mandated-reporting requirements Training is provided. Previous supervised-parenting-time experience is not required. Art of Change Counseling will provide required training and internal orientation before employees independently facilitate visits. The practice will pay for the required training course, and required training time will be paid.

Qualifications:

Final-year bachelor's student or bachelor's degree preferred Experience with children and/or families preferred Strong written communication skills Ability to remain calm in emotionally challenging situations Ability to maintain neutrality when working with parents in conflict Strong professional boundaries Dependability and good judgment Ability to maintain confidentiality Reliable transportation Availability during some afternoons, evenings, and weekends Employment will be contingent upon appropriate background and reference checks .

Compensation:

Starting at $25/hour , with opportunities for increases based on education, experience, specialized training, and additional responsibilities.
