In partnership with the Director and Youth Development Program Leads, this position coordinates daily SEL implementation, oversees DESSA administration, supports youth with behavioral and social-emotional needs, responds to behavioral crises, and coaches interns and volunteers who facilitate daily SEL activities. % Coordinate daily SEL activities and targeted SEL supports. Oversee DESSA administration, completion, and youth growth tracking. Review DESSA and program data to identify youth needing additional support. Coach and support interns and volunteers facilitating daily SEL. Behavioral Support & PBIS - 35% Provide behavioral observations, youth check-ins, and targeted interventions. Support consistent PBIS and trauma-informed practices across programs. Coach staff on positive redirection, regulation, and youth engagement. Partner with the MSW Intern and Program Leads to develop support strategies for identified youth. Crisis Support - 15% Provide behavioral crisis and de-escalation support during assigned program hours. Support post-incident debriefing and youth re-entry planning. Escalate complex or significant safety concerns to the Director. Documentation & Collaboration - 10% Maintain documentation of behavioral interventions and supports. Report SEL, DESSA, behavioral trends, and youth growth to the Director. Collaborate with Youth Development staff, the MSW Intern, interns, and volunteers. Qualifications Required Some college coursework in social work, sociology, psychology, education, human services, or a related field. Experience working with school-age youth in an after-school, school, camp, or community-based setting. Knowledge of positive youth development and social-emotional learning. Strong relationship-building, communication, organization, and de-escalation skills. Ability to work effectively with youth, families, staff, interns, and volunteers. Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work , Sociology, Psychology , or related field. Experience with SEL, PBIS, DESSA, trauma-informed care, restorative practices, or crisis de-escalation Experience coaching or supporting youth-serving staff, interns, or volunteers.
