As a Debate Coach, you will lead engaging debate sessions, foster a supportive environment for learning, and help students prepare for competitions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape young minds, promote intellectual growth, and cultivate confidence through dynamic debate activities. Your role will be pivotal in encouraging teamwork, enhancing communication skills, and nurturing a love for healthy discussion among youth. Responsibilities Plan and facilitate engaging debate sessions tailored to various age groups and skill levels - curriculum available Teach students effective argumentation techniques, research methods, presentation skills, and the fundamentals of policy debate Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages respectful dialogue and critical thinking Prepare students for local, regional, or national debate competitions by coaching them on strategies and timing Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve their debating abilities Organize practice debates, team meetings, and skill-building workshops regularly Maintain safety protocols during all activities, including first aid procedures when necessary Requirements Knowledge of debate formats, argumentation techniques, and public speaking coaching Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students Able to get to after school practices in the 3-5ish PM window at least once a week. Demonstrated team leadership abilities with a passion for youth development and education

$1.00 - $2,500.00 per year
