3005089640-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Lutheran Services Florida seeks a compassionate Youth Care Specialist to support at-risk youth in our Community & Social Services programs. In this on-site role, you will provide daily supervision, mentoring, and life-skills coaching in a safe, structured environment. Responsibilities include implementing behavior plans, monitoring safety, documenting progress, responding to crises, and coordinating activities that promote emotional and social growth. You will collaborate closely with clinical and case management staff in a diverse, mission-driven culture focused on equity, inclusion, and community impact. Responsibilities Provide daily supervision, mentoring, and support to youth in a residential or shelter setting. Ensure a safe, structured, and nurturing environment aligned with LSF policies and licensing standards. Implement individualized service and behavior support plans in collaboration with clinical and case management staff. Document observations, incidents, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner. Facilitate life-skills, recreational, and educational activities that promote positive youth development. Assist with intake, orientation, transportation, and appointments for youth as needed. Respond calmly and appropriately to crises, following approved de-escalation and safety protocols. Communicate regularly with team members to coordinate care and share information. Model professional, respectful, and culturally sensitive interactions with all youth and families. Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings to enhance service quality.
