Youth Leadership Coach Job Overview At TUFF Martial Arts, we believe in teaching today's kids to be tomorrow's leaders. We are seeking an energetic, positive, and dependable Youth Leadership Coach to mentor and inspire students in our afterschool program and martial arts academy. This role is much more than supervision. Our Youth Leadership Coaches help children build confidence, character, discipline, respect, and leadership skills while creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment. The ideal candidate loves working with kids, enjoys being active, and wants to make a meaningful impact on young people's lives every day. Responsibilities Mentor and supervise students ages 5-12 in our afterschool program Serve as a positive role model who demonstrates leadership, integrity, and professionalism Assist students with homework and academic support Lead structured games, activities, and character development lessons Help create a fun, safe, organized, and high-energy environment Support martial arts instructors during classes and special events Encourage positive behavior and reinforce program expectations Build positive relationships with students, parents, and team members Monitor student safety and well-being at all times Assist with special events, camps, tournaments, and community activities Help maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility Participate in team meetings and ongoing training opportunities Requirements Passion for working with children and helping them succeed Positive attitude and strong leadership qualities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Ability to maintain high energy throughout the workday Comfortable leading groups of children in activities and games Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with children, education, coaching, sports, camps, childcare, youth programs, or martial arts preferred Must pass a background screening CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Career growth and advancement opportunities Leadership development and ongoing training Positive team culture and family-oriented environment The opportunity to make a lasting impact on children's lives every day
