A Youth Counselor or Worker works with young people, primarily ages 13-18, to provide mentoring and support for dealing with problems. Works in a school or community-based program; may assist with referrals from parole or probation offices. Miami Youth Academy :
A moderate-risk residential commitment program for male youth aged 14 to 18. This program provides youth with comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based substance abuse services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while in the program.
Pay:
$45,000 salary, exempt annually

The Group Leader exercises his/her authority on a daily basis through direction and supervision of both students and staff during a shift, in order to meet expectations of the services provided. The Group Leader typically reports to the Shift Supervisor, but supervision may vary by individual location.
