Duties Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety through vigilant child supervision and behavior management. Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging youth group activities, including arts and crafts, outdoor games, educational lessons, and recreational outings. Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a positive environment conducive to learning and fun. Apply first aid and CPR protocols promptly and effectively in case of minor injuries or emergencies. Support children with special education needs by adapting activities and providing individualized attention when necessary. Collaborate with team members to develop youth development programs that promote social skills, teamwork, and personal growth. Maintain accurate records of attendance, incident reports, and activity participation to ensure compliance with safety standards. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques. Certification in first aid, CPR, and AED operation is required; ongoing training is encouraged. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while fostering a supportive environment. Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive settings is a plus. Strong communication skills to engage children positively and collaborate with colleagues and parents. Outdoor work experience or familiarity with outdoor activities enhances suitability for this role.
