Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a 4-H STEM Corps Instructor, where you will inspire and empower youth through engaging science, technology, engineering, and mathematics activities. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging STEM lessons and activities tailored to diverse age groups and learning styles Supervise children during program sessions, ensuring safety and positive behavior management Facilitate outdoor work experiences, experiments, and project-based learning opportunities Maintain a safe environment by following first aid protocols, CPR procedures, and AED operation guidelines Collaborate with team members to develop innovative curricula that promote childhood development and youth engagement Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a respectful and inclusive atmosphere Support youth group activities that promote teamwork, leadership, and personal growth Skills Strong classroom management skills with the ability to supervise children effectively Knowledge of first aid, CPR, AED operation, and first aid protocols for emergency response Experience working with children in educational or camp settings, including special education needs Proven ability to facilitate youth programs with enthusiasm and patience Experience in outdoor work environments and outdoor activity supervision Demonstrated leadership in team settings with excellent communication skills Background in teaching or coaching young children in STEM or related fields such as theater, sports, or childcare Familiarity with childhood development principles and behavior management strategies Ability to adapt activities for children with diverse needs and abilities including those requiring special education accommodations This paid role offers a rewarding chance to make a meaningful impact on youth development through innovative STEM education.
