We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Specialist to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. In this role, you will develop and implement engaging youth development programs, provide mentorship, and support youth from diverse and underserved communities. Your energetic approach will foster positive behavioral growth, promote adolescent development, and create a safe, inclusive environment where youth can thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with children, families, and community partners to empower youth and strengthen community ties. Duties Plan, coordinate, and facilitate youth programs focused on social-emotional learning, life skills, and positive behavioral interventions such as PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Provide mentorship and guidance to youth, supporting their personal growth and academic success Collaborate with families, schools, and community organizations to address the needs of high-risk populations and ensure comprehensive case management Support children with disabilities or special education needs through tailored activities and accommodations Maintain detailed records of program participation, behavioral incidents, and progress notes using Microsoft Office tools Conduct conflict management strategies to resolve disputes among youth in a constructive manner Assist in developing culturally responsive curricula that reflect the diverse backgrounds of participants Experience (preferred) Prior experience working with children or adolescents in educational, childcare, or youth program settings Knowledge of behavioral health principles and child welfare practices Experience working with individuals from underserved or culturally diverse communities Familiarity with special education needs and working with individuals with disabilities Strong writing skills for documentation, reports, and client communication Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to effectively serve diverse populations Demonstrated ability to manage high-risk situations using positive behavioral supports (PBIS) and conflict resolution techniques Community outreach establishing relationships with partners in the community Join us in creating a vibrant environment where youth are supported to reach their full potential!
