We are looking for a Missing Youth Specialists to join our team and provide support and oversight to permanency staff in their effort to locate missing youth. Join us and help make a difference!
Assist in training staff and researching new search methods. Complete assessments on returning youth and provide Family Finding investigative efforts. Olathe, KSWhat we are looking for:Education:
Bachelors Degree Required; Masters Degree Preferred from an accredited college or university with a degree in social work, counseling, family therapy, child and family development, criminal justice, sociology, forensics, education or other related fieldExperience:
2 years experience with children and family servicesCurrent valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance requiredLicensure:
License with the Kansas BSRB preferredFlexibility in working hours, What you will do: Conduct online and in-person searches to locate missing youth. Serve as liaison with law enforcement and community agencies. Track and analyze data to identify trends and provide weekly updates to DCF.Utilize various methods (door knocking, social media, etc.) to find missing youth.Assist in training staff and researching new search methods. Complete assessments on returning youth and provide Family Finding investigative efforts. Advocate for children and families and represent the agency in professional/community groups.
