Job Description
Position Summary:
Part time - 2:30-5:30PM
Kids' Corner is looking for enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable individuals to join our after-school team!
Counselors are responsible for creating a safe, welcoming, and fun environment where children can relax, play, complete homework, and participate in engaging activities after the school day.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and ensure the safety of children throughout the afternoon
Build positive relationships with children
Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, activities, and enrichment opportunities
Participate in indoor and outdoor activities
Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming program environment
Assist with snack and afternoon routines
Follow all Kids' Corner policies and safety procedures
Communicate effectively with other staff members and program administration
Address children's behavioral and social needs in a positive and appropriate manner
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children preferred
- Must be dependable, responsible, and punctual
- Ability to work positively with children of different ages and personalities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain patient and calm in a busy environment
- Must be able to actively supervise children and participate in activities
- Must meet all applicable program/background check requirements
