In this role, you will facilitate a variety of educational and recreational activities, promote positive behavior, and ensure the well-being of each child. Responsibilities Supervise children during before- and after-school hours, ensuring their safety at all times through attentive child supervision and behavior management. Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities that promote childhood development, including arts and crafts, sports, games, tutoring sessions, and outdoor play. Implement classroom management techniques to maintain a positive environment conducive to learning and fun. Follow first aid protocols and be prepared to respond swiftly to medical emergencies using CPR or AED when necessary. Collaborate with school staff, parents, and team members to support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education or behavioral support. Facilitate youth group activities and coordinate age-appropriate programs that foster social skills, teamwork, and leadership. Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and activity participation while adhering to all safety guidelines. Skills Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; camp experience or babysitting background is highly valued. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively. Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and first aid protocols. Experience with special education needs or youth development programs enhances your ability to support all children effectively. Excellent child supervision skills combined with outdoor work experience for active engagement outdoors. Ability to facilitate youth programs such as sports coaching, theater activities, tutoring sessions, or Christian counseling as needed. Demonstrated team leadership capabilities with the ability to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues and parents.
