Shift Availability:
Full-Time Monday -
Friday:
DAY SHIFT
The scheduled hours for this position are daytime, with shifts beginning as early as 6:00 AM and ending as late as 6:00 PM.
About Annie Malone Children and Family Services:
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for children, families, older adults, and the broader community by offering social services, educational programs, and advocacy. We are committed to providing safe and supportive environments for those in need.
Crisis Program Overview:
Our Crisis Program provides immediate intervention for children from birth to 17 years old, offering emergency shelter, food, clothing, educational support, and counseling. The program aims to alleviate crisis situations, prevent child abuse and neglect, and reduce parental stress, while enhancing family communication and stability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervision :
Ensure clients' basic needs are met at all times.
Support :
Assist clients with daily tasks, activities, and life skills.
Modeling Behavior :
Promote positive behavior and problem-solving skills.
Safety and Cleanliness :
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
Treatment Plans :
Follow and support individualized treatment plans to improve outcomes.
Crisis Management :
Trained in Safe Crisis Management (SCM) and implement techniques as needed.
Documentation :
Complete incident reports, case notes, and client records using case management software. Ensure all documentation is accurate and finalized by shift end.
Team Collaboration :
Attend staff meetings to develop strategies for client care.
Confidentiality :
Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
Transportation :
Safely transport clients to appointments, activities, and visits in Annie Malone vans.
Other Duties :
As assigned.
QualificationsRequirements:
Age :
Must be at least 21 years old.
Education :
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field preferred.
Experience :
Minimum of two years of experience working with emotionally disturbed, disabled, or behaviorally challenged clients.
Computer Skills :
Basic computer skills for documentation.
Driver's License :
Must have a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
Class E License :
Willingness to obtain a Class E Driver's License within 30 days of hire.
Work Flexibility :
Ability to work both weekdays and weekends.
Authorization :
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements:
This role requires extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and using a computer.
