Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Resource Center Youth Navigator to join our team! As a Youth Navigator, you will foster positive relationships, facilitate youth development programs, and collaborate with families and community partners to promote adolescent well-being and resilience. Duties Build trusting relationships with youth and their families through active listening, mentorship, and culturally responsive communication. Assess individual needs related to behavioral health, education, childcare, and social services; develop personalized support plans. Connect youth with community resources such as special education programs, mental health services, child welfare agencies, and recreational activities. Facilitate youth development programs that incorporate positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) in classroom management and group settings. Provide case management support by documenting progress, maintaining client records, and following up on service referrals. Support high-risk populations by implementing conflict management strategies and crisis intervention when necessary. Collaborate with schools, families, social workers, and community organizations to promote holistic youth development and family engagement. Requirements Experience working with children and adolescents in educational or social service settings. Knowledge of behavioral health practices, child welfare systems, and youth development principles. Strong written communication skills for documentation, reports, and client correspondence. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for record keeping and program planning. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to effectively serve culturally diverse communities. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with underserved populations and high-risk youth while maintaining a positive attitude. Skills in conflict management, mentoring, teaching youth programs, and applying positive behavioral interventions (PBIS).
