Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant community as a Part-time After School Counselor and make a meaningful impact on children's lives! In this energetic role, you'll create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children after school hours. Your enthusiasm and leadership will foster positive development, encourage teamwork, and inspire young minds through fun activities and educational support. Duties Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Lead and facilitate a variety of youth group activities, including games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and educational projects Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and conflict resolution among children Provide basic first aid and respond to emergencies following established protocols, including CPR and AED operation when necessary Support children with homework help, tutoring, or skill-building exercises tailored to their developmental needs Collaborate with team members to plan engaging programs that promote childhood development and social skills Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns Experience Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain upon hire Background in special education or experience working with children with diverse needs is a plus Demonstrated ability to lead activities outdoors and supervise children in various environments Experience facilitating youth group activities or teaching young children in structured settings Strong team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young participants Embark on a rewarding journey where your dedication helps shape bright futures! Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 30.0 per week
