Utilizing an advanced training curriculum in website design/development, GIS and Salesforce, as well as real-world business experience, Hopeworks works with youth 17-26 to get back in school, earn permanent jobs, and achieve their dreams. Hopeworks unique combination of technical training, real business experience, and trauma-informed coaching and academic counseling has led to extraordinary results. Training alone is not enough to provide these results. Success for our young people also requires real-world experience. To provide this experience, Hopeworks runs real businesses, providing technology solutions for businesses in web design, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Salesforce administration that not only helps businesses achieve their goals, but also trains and employs youth into high demand, high wage careers. The Community Responding in Belief (C.R.I.B) is a residential community for youth who have earned a job at Hopeworks, or college students who demonstrate responsibility in the workforce, and are pursuing an opportunity for more independent living. The C.R.I.B. is a community where residents work together, and with supporting staff to learn new skills for independent living, overcome traumas from previous living spaces, share meals, interact together through activities and become more successful adults. Position & Responsibilities Weekend & Evening Staff at the C.R.I.B. are responsible for maintaining a presence in the C.R.I.B. residence during the shifts they are assigned on weekends, evenings, and/or holidays. The primary task of CRIB staff is to ensure the physical, social, emotional, and moral safety of the CRIB and its' residents, working with youth to help them develop social, emotional and life skills. Hours will be approximately 6 to 16 hours per week, with additional hours as needed. Overview of Position
- The C.R.I.B. Weekend and Evening Staff person is responsible for the emotional and physical safety of the C.R.I.B. community during their shift. The staff person on duty ensures that all youth are accounted for at curfew and that security is set.
- Actively works toward building social safety and community within the CRIB by planning, assisting with, and participating in community-building activities.
- Utilizes daily interactions with CRIB residents and the teachable moments that arise, to support residents with preparing for their eventual transition into independent living.
- Keep residents informed of opportunities to engage in larger Hopeworks community
- In the case of an emergency, the staff member will notify the CRIB Coordinator and other Hopeworks staff as necessary and will make sure that all necessary emergency responders have been notified.
- Must understand all employee policies and procedures as set forth in the Hopeworks Personnel Handbook.
- Uses Salesforce to communicate necessary information relating to individual as well as group dynamics that arise during the shift.
- Participates in the maintenance of the house, grounds, and furnishings, and equipment.
- Attend all CRIB staff meetings, CRIB systems checks, and one-on-ones scheduled with the Director of Operations & Youth Development.
Requirements:
- Passion for and understanding of youth development, trauma-informed care, community living, and urban environments
- Experience with and desire to mentor residents and serve as a role model
- Ability to provide youth support with daily/weekly resident requirements, engagement, helpful feedback when needed
- Desire for further learning around trauma-informed care and other helpful resources
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends In essence, the perfect candidate:

- Is goal-oriented and tracks and measures progress through measurable outcomes
