Duties Lead and supervise groups of children or youth during various activities such as educational sessions, recreational games, arts and crafts, sports coaching, theater productions, or camp events Implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote childhood development, early childhood education, and social skills Manage classroom or activity space to ensure safety through effective behavior management and classroom management techniques Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any medical or behavioral incidents to ensure participant well-being Collaborate with team members to plan engaging programs that incorporate Christian counseling principles or values where applicable Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding participant progress, behavior, and program updates Maintain detailed records of attendance, incidents, and developmental milestones in accordance with organizational policies Skills Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior and create an inclusive environment Experience working with children across diverse age groups in settings such as daycare, preschool, summer camp, or after-school programs Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Ability to lead sports coaching sessions or facilitate recreational activities like theater or arts programs Proficiency in child safety protocols including first aid certification and emergency response procedures Excellent communication skills for working with children, parents, staff, and community partners Background in special education or experience supporting children with unique needs is a plus This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while developing your leadership skills in a lively and supportive environment.
