Duties Design and implement engaging youth programs that promote social, emotional, and educational development. Build trusting relationships with young participants, serving as a positive role model and mentor. Collaborate with families, schools, and community organizations to support youth needs and coordinate resources. Facilitate activities that encourage teamwork, conflict resolution, and leadership skills. Provide individualized support for children with disabilities or behavioral health challenges, ensuring inclusive participation. Monitor participant progress, document program outcomes, and adjust activities to meet diverse needs. Manage behavioral issues with effective conflict management strategies while maintaining a safe environment. Qualifications Experience working with children or adolescents in educational, social work, or childcare settings. Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities. Understanding of behavioral health principles relevant to youth development. Strong mentoring skills combined with the ability to teach social skills and conflict management techniques. Background in child welfare or social work preferred; experience in child development is a plus. Excellent communication skills for engaging with youth, families, and community partners. Ability to handle challenging situations with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
