Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Support Specialist to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support, mentorship, and guidance to youth from diverse backgrounds, especially those from underserved communities. Your energetic approach will foster positive development, promote healthy behaviors, and empower youth to reach their full potential. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with children and adolescents, creating a safe and nurturing environment that encourages growth, learning, and resilience. Duties Support students K-8th grade Build trusting relationships with youth by providing mentorship, encouragement, and positive reinforcement Implement youth development programs that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and life skills Collaborate with families, schools, and community organizations to coordinate services and ensure holistic support for youth Assist with meals set up and clean up, transitions, homework and dismissal Facilitate engaging activities that teach life skills, conflict management, and adolescent development principles Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, program participation, and attendance Perform light janitorial duties Assist in promoting a respectful environment Attend field trips Schedule Monday-Friday 3:45pm-6:30pm Requirements Experience working with children and adolescents in educational or community settings Ability to pass a background check Strong communication skills for client interaction and working with families from culturally diverse communities Ability to implement positive behavioral interventions in classroom or activity environments Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds Demonstrated conflict management skills and the ability to mentor youth positively Join us in creating impactful experiences that foster growth, resilience, and hope among young people.
