Job Summary Join our vibrant team as an After-School Youth Mentor, where you will play a vital role in inspiring and guiding children through engaging activities and positive interactions. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to foster youth development, promote safe environments, and support children's growth both academically and socially. As a key member of our youth programs, you will create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages learning, creativity, and teamwork while ensuring the safety and well-being of every child. Duties Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Facilitate engaging youth group activities, including games, arts and crafts, sports, and educational projects Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to promote positive conduct Implement youth development programs that support social skills, leadership, and personal growth Maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid protocols, CPR procedures, and emergency response guidelines Collaborate with parents, teachers, and staff to support each child's individual needs and progress Lead outdoor activities and supervise children during field trips or outdoor work experiences Skills Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain order in active settings Experience working with children in educational or childcare environments such as daycare or camp settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols Experience with special education needs or youth programs teaching experience is a plus Ability to lead team-oriented activities and foster a positive group environment Excellent communication skills for engaging children, parents, and team members effectively Join us in making a meaningful difference in young lives!
