$18.00/hr About Youth Opportunity & Bartlett Primary Assessment Center Youth Opportunity is a nationally recognized leader in residential and behavioral health treatment for at‑risk youth. Bartlett Primary Assessment Center in Bartlett, Tennessee is a short‑term, trauma‑informed assessment facility serving youth in need of stabilization and behavioral evaluation. Youth typically remain in care for approximately 30 days , during which they receive structured intake, education, multidisciplinary assessment, and life skills programming. Small group settings support emotional safety, initial stabilization, and planning for an appropriate subsequent placement. Position Summary - Transporter Job in Bartlett, TN We are hiring a Transporter to support transportation services at Bartlett Primary Assessment Center. This role is ideal for individuals with safe driving experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing a secure and supportive environment for youth. You will transport youth to and from the program and other activities, maintain vehicles, and assist staff in ensuring youth safety during transport. Be part of a team making a difference in the lives of vulnerable youth Work in a trauma-informed, structured, and supportive residential environment Contribute to the safety and well-being of youth through safe and reliable transportation Develop your skills through training, mentorship, and advancement opportunities Transporter Responsibilities Provide scheduled transportation services for youth to and from the program and other activities as needed Assist in developing and maintaining efficient pick-up and delivery route schedules Operate vans and other vehicles safely and in accordance with YOI policies and traffic laws Maintain, inspect, clean, and perform basic operator-level maintenance on assigned vehicles Complete vehicle safety checklists before and after each use Supervise youth during transport and ensure safe behavior Report unsafe vehicle issues or incidents immediately Other Duties Include Maintain high standards of role model behavior for youth Maintain contact with program staff during transport, without operating the vehicle while using a phone Participate in training and development activities as required Report any acts or conditions that may indicate inappropriate youth-to-youth or staff-to-youth interactions Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Prior safe driving experience and proven safe driving record Ability to relate to a wide diversity of youth and adults Preferred Experience Two years' work experience with youth preferred Familiarity with residential treatment or youth programs
Other Requirements Physical Demands:
Ability to transport youth; maintain sitting position for at least half of the day; occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds; maintain focus on road and traffic conditions while supervising youth; must be free of communicable diseases as defined by the state.
Other:
Must maintain a valid state driver's license and meet state criminal background check requirements. Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
