Position Overview:

The Mentor Liaison will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance and expansion of the mentor program including recruitment, training, and placement of mentors in all programs; communication with mentors and staff members, documentation of mentor activities; assistance with special projects and events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Mentor Liaison:

Maintains communication and coordination with appropriate Youth Villages staff to evaluate volunteer needs and performance Conducts ongoing assessment of volunteer mentors and mentor program Communicates with mentors regularly and implements improvements Conducts workshops to provide continuous training for mentors Leads orientation and other trainings for new mentors Maintains list for youth in need of mentors Documents mentor program goals and outcomes Develops plan to recruit new mentors for each program Creates slide deck presented to civic groups, professional organizations, etc. Recruits volunteers through speaking engagements, network connections, and requests generated from outreach materials Screens, interviews, and matches volunteers with youth Complies with standards set by the Youth Villages Mentoring Partnership Performs other related duties as assigned

Additional Information:

This position is based in Nashville and requires quarterly travel to West Tennessee for events and team trainings.

Qualifications:
