We are searching for an experienced youth worker - direct care, social work, youth ministry, etc - interested in working with young men in a small residential group home. Our program serves boys ages 13-17 who are experiencing family problems and whose families are placing them in our care for a period of time to seek growth and healing. The majority of our residents are adopted youth who are struggling with attachment related issues that make the family context extremely challenging. Applicants should have experience working with youth. A background in trauma informed care, especially TBRI, would be strongly preferred. The ideal candidate would be supportive of our faith based mission and skilled in relational mentorship and de-escalation tactics.

This role will require:

A passion for serving struggling youth and their families The ability to be a role model and live above reproach, as an example to the youth The ability to operate as an integral part of a team Daily supervision of youth Planning and implementation of program structure and activities Mentoring of youth in both individual and group contexts Significant flexibility in scheduling, possibly including overnights Specific areas of opportunity exist for those who are interested in areas of physical fitness, outdoor adventure, and activity planning as well as opportunities to assist with spiritual development. This role requires flexibility and availability on evenings and weekends. Some overnight shifts may also be expected. This role includes housing on our campus. Pay will be contingent on education and experience.

Requirements:

Ability to live in (house parent) or on site to provide coverage off hours. High School Diploma or GED. (Prefer some college/bachelor's degree.) Experience in working directly with teenagers (direct care, social work, youth ministry, etc) Valid driver's license. Successfully complete, pass and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training & maintain updates. Pre-Employment drug screening and random drug tests
