Residential Youth Counselor Boys to Men Treatment Center Houston, TX Job Details Full-time $15 - $20 an hour 18 hours ago Benefits Paid training Opportunities for advancement Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Youth Care MentorResidential Youth Program - Houston, TX Job OverviewA residential youth program in Houston, TX is seeking dedicated, dependable, and compassionate Youth Care Mentors to provide direct care and supervision to male youth ages 8-17 in a structured residential setting. Youth Care Mentors play an essential role in creating a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment while helping youth develop positive behaviors, coping skills, accountability, and life skills. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about mentoring youth, behavioral support, mental health services, and making a positive impact in the lives of adolescents. Responsibilities Supervise and mentor youth throughout daily routines and activities Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment at all times Assist youth with daily living skills, hygiene, chores, and routines Implement behavior management strategies and structured programming Transport youth to school, appointments, recreational outings, and activities as needed Complete accurate and timely documentation, including daily notes and incident reports Conduct room checks, safety checks, and monitor resident interactions Assist during crisis interventions and de-escalation situations when necessary Encourage positive communication, emotional regulation, and social skills Participate in staff meetings and trainings Maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries with youth at all times Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Experience working with youth, behavioral health, childcare, foster care, juvenile justice, or residential programs preferred Must be at least 21 years old Valid Texas Driver's License with acceptable driving record Ability to pass background checks and regulatory requirements Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain Schedule Full-time and Part-time positions available Day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts available Holidays and weekends may be required based on scheduling needs Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay Monthly payroll schedule Career advancement opportunities Paid training and professional development Supportive team environment Opportunity to positively impact youth and families We are looking for motivated, dependable, and compassionate individuals committed to helping youth grow, succeed, and overcome challenges in a structured residential environment.
