Job Description
Job Description Assist in administering and promoting a comprehensive 4H youth development programs to youth within the locality. Assist the 4-H Agent in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers and youth participating in the 4H program. This includes the development and management of 4-H community clubs; preparing and implementing educational programs through in-school club meetings; assist in planning and organizing day camps and residential camp activities. This position will have a high level of interaction with the public, and the person in this position is expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner. Virginia Tech is unable to sponsor applicants for work visas for this vacancy. Required Qualifications Strong communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and the internet. Work or volunteer experience in youth development and delivery of educational programs. Strong experience as a team player. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree. Work or volunteer experience in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers. Pay Band 3
