Our client has an immediate need for motivated professionals to work as a Residential Counselor in the Bristow, VA area.SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
- Responsible for supervision of the residents.
- Confirm census count received from prior on-duty staff before assuming floor responsibilities.
- Maintain shift coverage until the next shift is securely in position.
- Confirm status and location of assigned residents.
- Room checks every 15 minutes
- Completely and accurately document any required forms on the daily log prior to the ending shift.
- Perform waive testing on residents after home visits, AWOL, and as needed.
CLIENT'S HOURS
- Weekday Evenings from 2:30pm-10:30pm and Saturday-Sunday from 6:30am-6:30pm or 8:30am-8:30pm
- Weekday Nights from 10:30pm-6:30am and Saturday-Sunday from 6:30pm-6:30am or 8:30pm-8:30am
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services is required OR actively, continuously pursuing the degree and able to provide evidence of such; OR
- High School Diploma or General Education Development Certificate (G.E.D.) and six months experience working with children AND
- Enroll and successfully complete assigned training and Certification Program for development in our milieu of care
