This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to youth development and community building while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and monitor youth and help ensure their safety and wellbeing while in the Youth Center Plan, organize, and facilitate recreational, educational, and social activities for youth participants-helping with homework when appropriate Provide guidance and support to youth, fostering positive interactions and personal growth Maintain a clean and organized environment within the youth center Enforce rules and regulations to promote a respectful and inclusive atmosphere Collaborate with staff and parents Address behavioral issues promptly and professionally, escalating concerns as needed Sell snacks, beverages and other approved items and accurately process transactions. Complete daily sales report.
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience working with children or adolescents preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure Knowledge of youth development principles and recreational activities First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Reliable, responsible, and committed to fostering a positive environment
