As part of our Youth Development 4K Preschool Staff team , you'll support 4- and 5-year-old students attending half-day school programs at local elementaries and providing engaging activities, social-emotional learning experiences, and a caring environment throughout their day. What You'll Do:
Support and lead engaging activities for 4K students throughout their day Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children can learn and grow Foster social-emotional development through positive interactions and relationship building Implement age-appropriate activities that encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual growth Build positive relationships with children, families, school staff, and YMCA team members Follow YMCA policies, licensing standards, and program guidelines Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age. Experience in children's programming/education, preferred. Knowledge of state licensing and Young Star accreditation requirements, preferred. Attend staff meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as requested.
Physical Demands:
Ability to actively engage with children through walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting. Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work in active and sometimes noisy environments. About the
