Job Description

Overview Hustle to Overcome Athletics (H²0 Athletics) is seeking a Youth Support Specialist to provide supportive services to youth with disabilities. This role supports youth through mentoring, daily living skills development, wellness activities, and structured supervision in community-based settings. Our program focuses on helping youth build confidence, independence, emotional regulation, and social skills through positive engagement and movement-based activities.
Responsibilities:
Mentoring
  • Build positive relationships with youth Encourage confidence, emotional awareness, and healthy decision-making Support development of social skills Daily Living Skills Training
  • Teach and reinforce skills such as hygiene, routines, communication, and community safety Support youth in developing independence and problem-solving abilities Respite Support
  • Provide safe supervision and engagement while caregivers receive temporary relief Facilitate structured activities and positive interactions Health & Wellness
  • Encourage physical activity and healthy habits Engage youth in movement-based activities that support emotional regulation and well-being
Additional Responsibilities:
Complete service documentation Maintain professionalism and confidentiality Follow all safety and supervision protocols Communicate effectively with families and program leadership
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred) Experience working with youth Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently Reliable transportation Ability to pass background check Preferred Experience Experience working with youth with disabilities Mentoring, coaching, or youth program experience Knowledge of trauma-informed care CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
