Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Social Worker specializing in school settings is needed to support student well-being and foster a positive learning environment in a school located in Clarkston, MI. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and social success by providing essential counseling and support services. Key Responsibilities Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans and strategies Assess student needs and provide resources or referrals to community services as necessary Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to promote student success and safety Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and confidentiality standards Qualifications Licensed or credentialed Social Worker with experience working in school environments Strong understanding of adolescent development and mental health issues affecting students Ability to build rapport with students, families, and educational staff Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Familiarity with local community resources and educational regulations is a plus
