Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a School Social Worker to a dynamic, supportive high school environment close to Tijeras, NM with this rewarding contract opportunity. As a vital resource for students, you'll collaborate closely with staff and families, helping to create a safe and inclusive atmosphere where every student can thrive. Enjoy full-time hours with a manageable caseload focused on high school students. Your day will include conducting both small group and individual counseling sessions, supporting students through academic and personal challenges. In addition to providing counseling, you'll play a key role in case management, coordinating supportive services, and connecting families with community resources. Your crisis intervention skills will be valued as you assist students and staff navigating difficult situations that arise.
Key Qualifications:
Current LMSW or LCSW licensure in the state of New Mexico PED credential as a School Social Worker Experience in a school-based setting, preferably at the high school level Strong skills in individual and group counseling Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the wellbeing of diverse student populations Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and outside agencies
Core Responsibilities:
Provide small group and one-on-one counseling Conduct thorough case management for assigned students Respond to crises and support timely intervention plans Partner with families and staff to foster positive student outcomes Pay for this role ranges from $35 to $40 per hour, with eligible candidates having access to comprehensive healthcare benefits, as well as assistance with housing and meals/incidentals (full benefit plan details available after application).
