Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Field Engineer - Electrical to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical aspects of solar energy projects on construction sites, ensuring that all electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will help drive the successful deployment of solar infrastructure, contributing to sustainable energy solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge renewable energy projects and make a tangible impact on the environment. Duties Interpret and review electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide installation processes. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain high voltage and low voltage electrical systems for solar fields, ensuring adherence to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Lead fixture installation, wiring, and connection of electrical components on construction sites. Conduct inspections of electrical work to verify compliance with safety protocols and project specifications. Operate power tools, hand tools, roofing equipment, plumbing tools, and forklifts safely on-site. Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate electrical activities with other trades such as roofing and plumbing. Ensure all electrical installations meet safety standards and project timelines while maintaining quality control. Requirements Proven experience working as a commercial electrician or in a similar electrical role within construction or renewable energy projects. Strong knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, schematics, and blueprint reading. Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety procedures related to electrical work on construction sites. Hands-on experience with fixture installation, wiring, and troubleshooting electrical components in solar fields. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, roofing equipment, plumbing tools, forklifts, and other construction site machinery safely. Construction site experience with an understanding of roofing, plumbing, and general construction practices. Valid electrician certification or relevant licensing; additional certifications in roofing or plumbing are a plus.
