Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a lively, efficient work environment. Your leadership will inspire culinary excellence, uphold food safety standards, and elevate the dining experience for our guests. Duties Assist the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high standards of quality and consistency. Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on food production, safety procedures, and service standards to ensure smooth operations. Oversee inventory control and food ordering processes to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste. Lead menu planning efforts by contributing creative ideas and ensuring dishes align with the restaurant's culinary vision. Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation practices across all kitchen areas. Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely preparation and flawless execution of large-scale meals. Manage shift schedules, monitor team performance, and foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on continuous improvement. Skills Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments. Proven supervising and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members. Experience in banquet service, catering, and large-scale food production. Knowledge of inventory management, food handling, and food safety protocols. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to coordinate between kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. Ability to plan menus thoughtfully while considering dietary restrictions and customer preferences. Familiarity with restaurant management systems, shift management, and food service operations. Skilled in kitchen management tasks such as inventory control, cost management, and quality assurance. Experience working within the food industry with a focus on hospitality standards and customer satisfaction.
