This is a unique opportunity for culinary professionals looking to grow their careers in either an upscale dining environment in Woodcliff Lake or a high-energy restaurant concept in Boonton. Whether your background is in elevated cuisine, scratch kitchens, banquet execution, or high-volume service, we are looking for strong kitchen leaders who thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to culinary excellence. Available Locations Woodcliff Lake, NJ Boonton, NJ Position Overview The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen leadership team to oversee daily back-of-house operations, maintain food quality standards, support kitchen staff development, and ensure efficient service execution. Responsibilities Assist in managing all kitchen operations, including prep, line execution, and service Lead and motivate kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, sanitation, and consistency Support inventory management, ordering, and food cost control Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations Assist with scheduling, training, and coaching culinary team members Collaborate on menu execution, seasonal features, and kitchen organization Help maintain a positive and professional kitchen culture Qualifications Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Kitchen Manager in a high-volume restaurant Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to multitask and perform under pressure Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations Experience with inventory, ordering, and labor management preferred Culinary degree is a plus, but not required Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Growth opportunities within a hospitality-driven organization Creative and team-oriented work environments Supportive leadership and strong company culture Paid time off and benefits package available We are hiring immediately for both locations and welcome candidates interested in either opportunity or open to both concepts.
