August 2026 Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and passionate part-time Spanish teacher to share the beauty and richness of the Spanish language with our 5th - 8th-grade students. As a Catholic institution, we are committed to fostering an environment that nurtures both academic excellence and the spiritual growth of our students.
Instructional Responsibilities:
Lead and implement the Spanish curriculum for students from 5th - 8th grade, integrating Catholic values and teachings where appropriate. Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, incorporating faith-based principles of service, compassion, and respect in lesson planning and delivery. Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects in alignment with both academic and faith-based goals. Assess student progress regularly, using a variety of assessment tools, and provide timely progress reports to students, parents, and administration. Foster a classroom environment that encourages a love of learning, while promoting Christian values such as kindness, respect, and understanding of cultural diversity. Incorporate prayer, reflection, and Catholic traditions into daily lessons and classroom activities when appropriate, helping students grow in their faith and connection with the Catholic Church. Collaborate with other faculty members and school leadership to ensure a cohesive approach to student development, both academically and spiritually.
