Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Take the lead in a center-based Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) classroom for elementary students, guiding their academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development in a supportive environment. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a small group of Grades 3-5 students, utilizing your expertise within a structured special education setting alongside dedicated classroom support staff.
Key Qualifications:
Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching License required EBD licensure strongly preferred Demonstrated experience in center-based or high-needs behavioral settings Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs, BIPs, conducting progress monitoring, and designing classroom interventions Proficient classroom management and behavior de-escalation abilities Excellent collaborator and communicator Experience with Setting III classrooms, PBIS, CPI, and trauma-informed behavioral interventions is a plus Prior work with elementary behavioral caseloads is preferred
Position Details:
Assignment dates: August 31, 2026 - June 4, 2027 Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Caseload includes approximately six students in a center-based classroom focused on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support
