Job Description
Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact every day by supporting students as a Special Education Teacher! Several exciting contract opportunities are available for dedicated professionals who are passionate about empowering learners with diverse needs. Positions are open for the upcoming school year, including one middle school resource role focusing on mild to moderate learning disabilities and ADHD, one high school resource position addressing similar needs, and one high school adaptive curriculum placement for students with cognitive disabilities or high-functioning autism. As a member of the school faculty, you'll work in supportive environments where collaboration and innovation are encouraged. Class sizes are kept manageable at 25 students each, allowing for meaningful connections and targeted instruction. Your week includes 35 guaranteed hours, with the bonus of half days on Fridays, so you can enjoy greater work-life balance. Some weeks may offer additional hours based on school needs.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Valid state certification in Special Education Experience teaching students with mild to moderate learning disabilities, ADHD, and/or cognitive disabilities Familiarity with drafting IEPs and facilitating meetings Excellent communication skills to foster strong relationships with students, families, and staff Ability to adapt lessons for varying learning styles and abilities Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom where every learner thrivesKey Responsibilities:
