Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role for the 2026-2027 school year as a Special Education Teacher at the high school level. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid state teaching certification in Special Education Experience with high school-aged students preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Ability to differentiate instruction according to students' unique learning plans Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and administrators Organizational skills to effectively manage caseloads and documentation
Responsibilities:
Develop and oversee Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Deliver engaging and effective instruction in both individual and group settings Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom practices Assess student progress and adapt strategies to promote academic and behavioral achievement Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and compliance with state and federal regulations Foster a positive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and needs
