Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students as a contracted Special Education Teacher in a resource setting classroom starting this August. Responsibilities include:
Providing individualized instruction and specialized support to students in 1st through 4th grade within a resource classroom, with occasional push-in services as needed Developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with colleagues and families Coordinating closely with 1:1 paraeducators and behavior analysts to create a positive, structured learning atmosphere Managing a caseload of approximately 15-20 students, with a focus on fostering both academic progress and socio-emotional growth Collaborating with other case managers, general education teachers, and related service providers to ensure holistic support for students Maintaining accurate and timely documentation related to student performance, goals, and communication Desired experience and qualifications: Active New Hampshire Educator Teaching Certification in Special Education Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher with elementary-aged students, specifically grades 1-4 Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and best practices in inclusive education Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Commitment to professional growth and ongoing collaboration This contract runs from August 31st, 2026 through June 17th, 2026, with possible pre- and post-planning days.
