Send job Job Details Job DescriptionJob Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a positive impact on students' lives as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This rewarding, full-time contract role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse K-12th grade caseload of approximately 35 students, supported by two dedicated instructional assistants in the classroom. The position is located near Depoe Bay, OR.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification, or eligibility for certification in Oregon Experience working with K-12th grade students with a variety of learning and behavioral needs Strong classroom management abilities and effective communication skills Collaborative approach to working with instructional assistants, staff, and families Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of the school community
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instruction to students in a small group or individual setting, ensuring their IEP goals and objectives are met Oversee and manage a caseload of about 35 students, tracking progress and compliance Work collaboratively with two instructional assistants to facilitate learning and classroom engagement Maintain open communication with parents, staff, and administrators regarding student progress and needs Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized plans Foster a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students If you're ready to play a vital role in the educational journey of students and enjoy the support of a skilled classroom team, we encourage you to apply for this contract opportunity.
