Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a real impact by supporting high school students as a dedicated Special Education Teacher in a vibrant, year-round educational setting near Ellicott City, MD. Key Qualifications:
Active Maryland Special Education Teaching License required Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, especially at the high school level, is highly valued Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Committed to fostering inclusion and advocating for students with diverse learning needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver individualized instruction tailored to students' unique learning requirements Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families to create and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings Utilize evidence-based classroom management strategies Adapt lesson plans and instructional materials as needed to support a dynamic high school caseload Contribute positivity and expertise to a year-round academic schedule, giving students ongoing support throughout the school year
