You'll work at a single site with a well-defined caseload based on your experience and preference. Openings include two roles supporting K-3rd grade, one role for 4th-6th grade, and a position working with 7th-8th graders. Most students served have significant needs-some are verbal, while others are non-verbal-requiring adaptability, empathy, and skill in differentiated instruction.

What you need to bring:

Valid Mississippi Special Education teaching license Prior experience with K-8 students in special education settings, especially those with moderate to severe disabilities Expertise in adapting curriculum and communication methods for students with a variety of needs Strong commitment to creating inclusive, positive, and structured classroom environments Exceptional collaboration and communication skills for working with school staff, students, and families Your daily impact will include: Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Delivering targeted, engaging instruction to meet each student's unique needs Collaborating with grade teams, related service providers, and families Tracking student progress and documenting outcomes Advocating for students' needs and fostering their independence Participating in professional development as available This is an onsite, full-time, 37.5-hour per week role from late July through late May, with a virtual interview process and comprehensive onboarding.
