Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students who need you most! Full-time self-contained Special Education teaching openings are available for the 2026-2027 school year, working with students in 3rd, 4th, and 6th grades. These classrooms serve 10-15 students primarily with Other Health Impairments (often ADHD and ODD), Autism, and Emotional Disabilities. While students are cognitively capable, their academic progress is affected by behavioral challenges, so experience and confidence in behavior programs is essential.
What you bring:
Valid educator certification for Special Education (required) Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (required) Demonstrated experience leading self-contained behavior programs A compassionate, proactive approach to supporting students with behavioral needs Ability to foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Strong collaboration skills, working closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families What you'll do: Deliver individualized academic and behavioral instruction to students in a self-contained setting Create and implement behavior intervention plans tailored to individual student needs Collaborate with school teams to monitor student progress, adjust strategies, and support successful transitions Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with IEPs and program requirements Communicate effectively and consistently with families and professional teams Build meaningful relationships with students and help them reach their potential Ready for a rewarding, hands-on role supporting students' growth and success?
