Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by serving students with diverse needs as a Special Education Teacher in a rewarding contract opportunity for the Extended School Year (ESY) program. Bring your expertise and passion to an educational team dedicated to supporting individualized success and growth. Your day-to-day involvement will focus on creating and implementing tailored educational plans, fostering an inclusive classroom environment, and collaborating with multidisciplinary staff for student success.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility) Experience designing and implementing IEPs Knowledge of various learning disabilities and effective intervention techniques Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexibility and a positive approach to adapting lesson plans Prior experience in an ESY or similar school-based setting is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver differentiated instruction based on each student's IEP goals Work closely with students individually and in small group settings to address academic, behavioral, or social challenges Maintain accurate student records and progress notes required for compliance Collaborate with families, therapists, and other staff to support each student's unique needs Foster an environment of respect, encouragement, and success in your classroom Participate in ESY program meetings and ongoing professional development This contract role is an excellent way to contribute your skills in a focused, high-impact environment supported by committed colleagues.
